A man in his 40s died after being stabbed earlier this week.
A vigil was held last night in Ongar to remember Aaron Keating.
He was stabbed to death following a row on Main Street on Tuesday evening.
Mr Keating was known to the State services and had been living in local private supported accommodation for the past number of years.
Gardaí believe a verbal row among a number of men escalated to physical violence on the street.
Mr Keating was discovered with serious stab wounds after gardaí were called to the scene.
He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.
Footage of the incident has been shared on social media and gardai are asking people not to do this.
They're asking anyone who may have recorded footage of what happened to share it with them instead.
Detectives are also continuing to appeal to any witnesses to come forward.
A teenage boy was arrested this morning after the assault and is still being questioned.
