A man in his 60’s is still being held in connection with the death of a man in Kilkenny city.

The man’s body was discovered at Meadow Way on Castlecomer Road in Kilkenny city at about 6 o’clock yesterday evening.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the services of the State Pathologist requested.

Gardaí say they’re investigating all of the circumstances in the suspected stabbing.

A man in the 60s was arrested on suspicion of murder last night, and brought to Kilkenny Garda Station – where he can be held for 24 hours.
