"I'm not a cat"

A lawyer in America has found himself having a zoom mishap during a virtual court hearing.

Rod Ponton was entering court when he realised that he had a cat filter stuck on his screen.

The Texas lawyer was attending the 394th Judicial District Court hearing when the technical difficulties started.

Judge Roy Ferguson tweeted a clip from the video as a caution to other court professionals.

He captioned the tweet:

"IMPORTANT ZOOM TIP: If a child used your computer, before you join a virtual hearing check the Zoom Video Options to be sure filters are off. This kitten just made a formal announcement on a case in the 394th,"

During the video Ponton had to clarify that he is "not a cat".

According to UPI, Ponton posted a follow-up tweet saying:

"These fun moments are a by-product of the legal profession's dedication to ensuring that the justice system continues to function in these tough times. Everyone involved handled it with dignity, and the filtered lawyer showed incredible grace. True professionalism all around,"

He claims that he was borrowing his secretaries computer and was eventually able to disable the filter before continuing the hearing.
