Do you think the card game is a sport?
You may have played it in the play ground with your friends but could you be representing your country at the Olympics?
Over 4,500 people have signed a new petition to make 'Yu-Gi-Oh' an Olympic sport.
This comes following a passionate fan of the game described its exclusion from the games as an 'absolute injustice'.
In the petition which is being fronted by Xiran Jay Zhao who claim that the game is more of sport.
He claims that it should be considered a ‘legitimate sport in the Olympics’ as it ‘requires dexterity, athleticism, and endurance’.
The petition was created last week and it addresses the International Olympic Committee.
It also calls for Yu-Gi-Oh to be added as an official Olympic sport.
According to Ladbible, Zhao said that it would help ‘to both mend this injustice and to apologize to Japan for making them go through with the 2020 Tokyo games.’
Apparently a petition has been made to make Yu-Gi-Oh! an Olympic sport. I agree...?
