IN 2018 he hitchhiked all through Scotland with his Microwave and All the money raised was donated to Robyn's Life Trust and now in the month of Brexit and bucket-loads of uncertainty, he will do it all over again in England.
The Light-bulb Moment came when Diarmuid was working for DIT Students union and one of his jobs was to supply microwaves to students on campus.
He told The Lift on iRadio that one of the students "broke their microwave, it ended up in my office, and then I decided I'd take it hitchhiking around the world with the microwave"
Asked on his experiences of people Diarmuid said: "I've had people drive by me, and they have come back 10 minutes later, stop and ask why do you have a microwave? Its been great craic"
