It's not easy being PURR-fect
Shelters are usually fairly honest about what an animal likes and dislikes as well as what their temperament is like before they give pets up for adoption. However, one organisation has been very open about one of their cats in particular.
Mitchell County Animal Rescue took to social media to share an ad for a cat named Perdita: She comes with a tagline of "we thought she was sick, turns out she's just a jerk".
I mean, we're sold already!
The shelters Facebook page said:
"Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart.
"LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song 'Cat Scratch Fever', the movie Pet Cemetery (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she's sick (vet agrees...she's just a jerk).
"DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least...HUGS. She's single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space."
The shelter is offering the cat up for free to a good home, mainly because they just want the demon cat out of the shelter. If you're feeling brave (and can travel to the States for her), you can fill out an application form to adopt Perdita here.
