Good news for serial embarrassing drunk message senders.
In news that will be music to the ears of many, Whatsapp is adding an option for messages to disappear after a week.
The app says it wants to make chats feel more private.
If the feature's switched on, unread chats will also disappear after seven days, boosting your privacy by killing off potentially sensitive messages.
But, messages sent prior to changing settings won't be affected.
Here's what to do:
- Open the WhatsApp chat
- Tap the contact’s name
- Tap Disappearing Messages
- If prompted, tap Continue
- Select On
And you'll be able to disable it using the same method, the update will be sent out this month.
