Commercial Lobster diver Michael Packard spent around 30 seconds completely engulfed by one of the worlds largest animals
At first the 56 year old thought he'd been eaten by a white shark, which have become fairly common off Cape Cod in the summer where the incident happened.
He realized it didn't have teeth, as he struggled around in the dark for 30 seconds, with he oxygen breather even being knocked out of his mouth.
Luckily the Humpback didn't fancy the taste of human and ended up spitting him back out.
Experts estimate the chances of being swallowed by a humpback whale is around one in 1 trillion.
It's clear Lady Luck was smiling on Michael that day, but it's not the first time he cheated certain death:
Incidentally, Captain Michael Packard is also a plane crash survivor.

Yes, back in 2001, the Daily Mail reports that Packard also survived a plane crash in 2001 that killed three people.
He spent 2 nights in the jungle before being rescued.
