Turning water in wine.
A small village in Italy briefly became the envy of the world recently, after taps in the town began flowing with sparkling red wine instead of water.
While it may sound very much like a certain famous miracle, it turns out the phenomenon has a very easy explanation.
The village in question was in the Castelvetro area of Modena and the drama was all down to a 'technical fault' at the nearby Setticani winery.
What happened was, one of the silos that the wine is stored in started leaking into the water pipes.
And because the wine was being stored at a higher pressure it started to run through the system and into people's houses nearby - Meaning they received a lovely surprise when they went to fetch a glass of water.

The 'problem' was quickly resolved by water board technicians though, but according to the Gazetta di Modena - residents had: ''Bottled as much of the precious liquid as they could to enjoy later at a lunch or dinner along with other typical Modenese specialities''.
We can't blame them either!
The local council later issued an apology to the affected residents on their Facebook page.
