“Excuse me, my kids are here”.

A TV anchor has been interrupted by her young son while delivering a live broadcast in a “mum moment” that went quickly viral.

NBC News correspondent Courtney Kube, was discussing the very serious issue of Turkey’s invasion of Syria in an interview on Wednesday when her young son walked up to see what all the fuss was about.

“Excuse me, my kids are here,” she said. “Live television.”

She later told NBC News, “Breaking news in Syria didn’t line up with preschool drop-off, so he and his twin brother were with me.”

The video, which has been viewed more than 1.6 million times, is reminiscent of the viral “BBC Dad” from 2017 whose Skype interview was gatecrashed by his young children.

“Sometimes unexpected breaking news happens while you’re reporting breaking news,” MSNBC tweeted with the hashtags “#MSNBCMoms #workingmoms”.
