Tik Tok user @eric.lynner has gone viral after his son had a very blunt reaction to his new bedroom makeover.
But it's not that he was disappointed with how his room looked, it turns out he just wanted to help with the painting.
The clip uploaded to TikTok is captioned: "When you surprise your son with his new paint job in his room... his reaction was not what we expected."

It's been viewed nearly 4 million time since being uploaded a day ago, and has racked up over 672k likes.
After a first "initial meltdown", his dad said he was delighted with the new look.
In the comments, one person replied to say: "I was expecting him not to like it and he's more bummed because he wanted to help awwww."
A second wrote: "The way his voice broke when he said 'you painted without me'."
