How you hold your wine glass, eat a scone and stir your tea could betray how posh you are.
It doesn't matter where you're from, your accent, or where you were educated - there's reportedly a few secret signs which reveal if a person is truly posh.
That's according to etiquette expert Neil Phillips, who spoke to The Mirror ahead of this year's Cheltenham Festival.
The sommelier and racing pundit disclosed his dos and don'ts of afternoon tea.
How you hold your wine/champagne glass
"You see people who think they look really elegant but then they grab hold of a wine glass."
According to Neil, you should always hold your wine or champagne glass by the stem.
In fact, that's why wine glasses are designed with a stem.
You should also hold the glass this way when you're pouring wine or bubbles from the bottle.
How you eat a scone
Neil claims posh people don't cut a scone with a knife, they break it in half with their hands.
He also prefers to put the jam on the scone before cream.
How long you take to eat a scone is another tell tale sign.
Neil says posh people take their time:
"It's your moment to be here. You see people rushing through the experience. I think it's a really important thing."
How you stir your tea
According to Neil, we should be moving the spoon in a straight line from the top to the bottom rather than stirring it:
"It is about going from six to 12 very gently. If you're adding sugar it will allow it to dissolve properly. If you just stir it it will all fall to the bottom."
