A woman in America who found a bear trying to climb into her cabin says she used her 'teacher voice' to scare it away.

Debbie Tomlinson in North Carolina has posted the video on YouTube.

You can watch it here.

The bear was apparently trying to steal food from Debbie's bird feeders when she scolded it, telling it to "go" and "how dare you?!"

The video then shows the bear making its way down from the porch but skulking around for a bit while Debbie warns it "I see you."

She has told TV station WYFF4 that she wasn't afraid and she claims the teacher voice "works every time."
