Who's responsible for this, mate?

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will want to be investing in some brand new dictionaries, after a spelling mistake was spotted on 46 million of it's new $50 note.

The new note features Australia's first female member of parliament, Edith Cowan and a rousing speech she gave when first addressing the Western Australian Parliament.

In her speech she uttered the phrase: ''It is a great responsibility to be the only woman here''.

The mistake? The word “responsibility” is misspelt as “responsibilty” — no less than three times.

Melbourne station Triple MMM brought the mistake to the nation's attention after receiving a 'hot tip'.

According to the RBA, the $50 note is the most widely circulated bill in the country and on Thursday a spokesperson confirmed that they were aware of the error, which "will be corrected on the next print run".

Well at least someone is taking 'responsibilty' for this!
