A new study claims that by using the “snooze” button on the alarm clock. You may get a better social life.
Around 24% of adults reach for the “snooze” switch, claiming it improves their relationships with loved ones.
The survey of 2,000 adults found that six in ten claim that they’re also improving their relationship with their partner.
They also found 71% said they believe that sleep has a direct impact on their “social health.”
Researchers claim 72% of respondents snooze between one and four times most mornings, while 16% never snooze.
Many respondents also agreed they’d give up eating breakfast, taking a shower and brushing their teeth in order to keep snoozing.
Only 28% reported sleeping-in on Monday’s, saying that is bot the toughest day of the week to get up.
They claim that Wednesday is the biggest snoozie day.
Experts say:
“The common reasons adults have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep are usually due to high stress and poor daily habits.”
Back and side sleepers tend to sleep better through the night, as do those who use “white” noise and shut off light sources, especially digital screens.
