Snitches get stitches!
A boss is actually offering his employees money if they snitch on their co-workers who are eating while on the clock.
The manager put up a sign offering a $20 reward to anyone who rats out their team members and said he will punish the offenders.
A picture of the note in a restaurant's kitchen was posted to Reddit with the caption: "Eat and get laid off. Snitches get (€18.99) $20."
The sign says:
"Warning! All employees must not eat during work hours! Receive a $20 reward if you catch an employee eating during work hours!”
"Employees with 3 warnings will be laid off with no exceptions."
Some social media users were shocked to see that a monetary reward was being offered.
One wrote:
"Even from a purely business minded standpoint ignoring how shi**y of a way to treat people is, this is a TERRIBLE idea."
One person thought it was all just a tactic writing: "Gotta keep us fighting each other to not fight them."
Another thought: "Everyone should band together and repeatedly report the manager."
"They should all snitch on each other, get the 20 to go out for drinks,” wrote another.
