Not exactly a pretty picture
A new "smart toilet" which was designed by a team of Stanford University scientists claims to identify the user by the shape of their backside and can track the health of their waste.
The announcement of the Precision Health smart toilet which will recognize users and analyze the health of the users bowel movements and urination using algorithms.
Lead researcher Sanjiv Gambhir said the toilet was designed using a cameras and motion sensors to help identify "a range of disease markers in stool and urine,"
The smart toilet uses the flush lever to read fingerprints to identify users ,but also uses cameras to identify them by their backside.
UPI.com reported that Gambhir said "We know it seems weird, but as it turns out, your anal print is unique,"
Recordings of urination are also taken to analyze "flow rate, stream time and total volume."
"Everyone uses the bathroom -- there's really no avoiding it -- and that enhances its value as a disease-detecting device," Gambhir said.
