"It's stupid, naughty, and funny,"
A Shrek-theme burlesque show is set to hit Australia later this year, and fans will get to see ogre wearing tights!
The production is heading to Sydney's Enmore Theatre in June and will head to Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne before performing shows in New Zealand in July.
The show, is a parody of the 2001 animated film and has a stellar cast who will bring the film's beloved characters to life on stage
Trigger Happy is Shrek, Selin Tian is Princess Fiona, Henny Spaghetti is Donkey And Tugboat Tiffy is Gingerbread Man.
Creators say they were inspired to write the show while needing an extra act in another production.
They say that the show is "a mix of burlesque, drag, musical theatre, and comedy, with everything all in one,"
One of the creators said:
"It's an interesting thing to do."
"A lot of people ask why do I love this so much and why does it work, and it's because of the connection to the audiences,"
"It's stupid, naughty, and funny," he added.
There is also word that tickets are selling quickly, so maybe it will sell out.
