A new style guide released by scout leaders in the UK is raising eyebrows after banning the use of certain terms feared to be offensive.

The Sun reports terms like “falling on deaf ears”, “man-made” and “dinner ladies” should no longer be used for fear they'd upset somebody.

The Scout Association website has also outlawed children playing 'Chinese Whispers', instead encouraging leaders to refer to the game as 'Broken Telephone'.

The newspaper reports one dad who has a son in the Scouts told them:

“This is beyond crazy. I joined him up to learn life lessons and develop, not to be lectured on this woke nonsense. It’s a total joke.”

Meanwhile, the terms 'maiden name' and 'Christian name' will also be dumped, in case they cause offence.
