Just when we thought we'd seen it all
With rents continuing to rise and the supply of housing getting ever smaller, many people have been forced to ask themselves just how much they're willing to put up with to have somewhere to live.
Well just in case shower units in the kitchen, or an oven you could touch from your bed weren't enough, you can now apparently rent a room in what appears to be an abandoned school in Wexford.
In an ad that's since been removed from Daft.ie, rooms have been advertised for €275 a month.
By rooms, we mean a big empty classroom with what looks to be a manky fold-out sofa bed in the corner.
We should mention, it's unclear if this was a genuine listing or a prank, but the photos do appear to show rooms arranged to accommodate people living there.
However it's appeared on website NewNewNew as a really exciting opportunity:
Monoma Ireland are brining this wonderful project bear right now. By repurposing a school, we now have available fantastic studio type rooms which are very large (approx 50m sqm). This could serve as both a living space and work space simultaneously.
With shared kitchen and shower facilities.
Ideal for a work from home studio close to New Ross town Centre and all amenities.
Wow
It's caused quite a stir on social media, with people quick to question how on earth we've gotten into this situation.
