Are you this desperate?
Would having a new partner save you some cash?
A bizarre new study claims that 31 percent of single adults look for a partner just to save themselves a little bit of money.
55% believe that couples pay less for housing and can budget better.
Beware! Research also shows that people in couples spend 17% more per month than those unattached.
Data shows that couples spend 425£ (509€) each month for their rent or mortgage, 8% more than the average wage.
They also spend 33% more each month on bills compared to their single counterparts.
So keep this in mind, couples spend around 26% more on the weekly food shopping bills.
The only area where singles are actually spending more money is on clothing and beauty.
However, singles use more of their disposable income on exercise classes, gym memberships, and sports-based hobbies.
Would you ditch the single life to save a bit of money?
