A pregnant woman has been hailed a hero after she jumped into the ocean to save her husband from a shark.
The incident took place on Sunday in the Florida Keys in the US, according to local media reports.
Andrew Eddy, 30, was on a private boat with his wife, Margot Dukes-Eddy, and her family when he entered the water and was immediately attacked by a shark.
Dukes-Eddy then jumped into the ocean after seeing a shark’s dorsal fin and blood in the water.
She then pulled Eddy to safety, Deputy Christopher Aguanno wrote in the report.
He was taken by boat to the shore where he was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
The report stated that Eddy sustained a “severe” injury to his shoulder.
