Offaly County Council advertise job with a bizarre requirement

A vacancy for a Technical Support Officer at Offaly County Council is being advertised.

But it does not accept applications by email?

The role requires potential staff to provide a 'high standard' of IT Support to the local authority.

However the job post states, in red text, that electronic applications will not be accepted and a hard copy must be posted.

Do people working in IT even remember how to send something in the post?

One person took to Twitter to say, "Well by all accounts they don't have an IT technical officer to check the emails on the computer, so that tracks."
