It's being proposed by councils in Wales to stop littering.
Yes, you read that right, your Big Mac box might have your number plate stamped on it!
According to WalesOnline, council chiefs in the UK have proposed the move in a bid to prevent littering.
However, Chris Howell - Swansea Council's head of waste, parks and cleansing, admitted it may be difficult to implement.
He said: "If McDonald's do it, then people will just go to Burger King instead... because nobody wants to have their private details printed".
Despite this, he said he thinks it would be a really good idea.
In Ireland, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that 62% of packaging generated here was recycled in 2020.
We also produced 770,300 tonnes of food waste during the same year.
McDonald's says they are open to the proposals, but they don't think it would be effective in its current form.
