Unfortunately, the get out of jail card won't work..

Have you ever made a joke about using Monoply to by things in real life? Well, it isn't a joke for one bar.

A bar in Massachusetts accepted Monopoly money as currency for two hours as part of a once-off event.

The event is part of a bid for the bar to be included in a localised version of the board game.

Ralph's Tavern in Worcester said that customers that visited between 4pm and 6pm today were encouraged to use fake money.

There was a $5 cover charge on the door and Monopoly money was only accepted for hot dogs, non-alcoholic Jell-O shots and tickets for a raffle.

State laws prevented the pub from accepting Monopoly money for alcoholic beverages

According to UPI, Ralph's the "oldest tavern" in Worcester, is campaigning to be included in a localized Worcester version of Monopoly.
