New Line Cinema has teamed up with Warner Bros Animation for The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim.
Producers say the film will explore and expand the story behind the fortress of Helm's Deep - which featured in the 2002 movie.
It's also set 250 years before the famous trilogy.
The War Of The Rohirrim focuses on a character called Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan, who features in the books' appendix.
Some of the writers from the films are involved in the project, but Deadline reports Peter Jackson who directed them is not involved at least for the minute.
