Hotel rooms in Liverpool certainly aren't "going for a song".
Booked and paid for an Airbnb in Liverpool for #Eurovision for the weekend. 12 hours later and the booking has been cancelled and relisted an eye watering 204% increase!

It's reported some of the UK city's hotels are cancelling existing bookings for the weekend of the Eurovision next year, so they can cash in on demand for accommodation.

It's not just hotel rooms that are rising in price- some Air BnB hosts are charging 8,000 pounds sterling to stay one night on May 13th, when the Eurovision final will take place.
There are indications Air BnB is looking into claims about price gouging:
