Shut the windows quick!
Staff at Leinster House have been told to keep their office windows closed at night after a fox urinated all over an office at Government buildings.
The Irish Independent reports foxes were feeding on food scraps from skips in an area of the Oireachtas buildings.
"A “strong smell” of fox urine was noted at the site, with advice given for the skips to be tightly closed off and for the area to be thoroughly washed down."
The paper says it was one report out of several referencing moth infestations, dead rats, pooing pigeons and overgrown plants around Leinster House and it's surrounding buildings.
In March, there were also a number of reports of a wandering fox around the campus, as well as rats digging holes.
The Oireacthas spent 65-thousand euro on pest control services between January and mid-November last year according to details released under FOI.
