Yikes!!...
A news study is revealing what parents are looking forward to most after their kids move out.
The poll, of 1,000 parents aged over 45, found that 65% were looking forward to the day their kids finally left.
They also found that 78% of 55- to 64-year-olds were sad when their last child moved out.
Lower energy bills, only having to cook for one or two, and having to collect dirty cups and plates from rooms were all listed by parents.
The research claims 45% turned their children’s former rooms into a guest bedroom.
Over 17% converted the space into a home office, while 6% used it for a dressing room.
Other uses for their children's old rooms included art studios, a home gym and even a bar.
12% went ahead and threw out all the “clutter” their children had left behind.
