We may as well just skip ahead...
So it's August and John Lewis has gone and opened it's online Christmas store, despite there still being a casual 121 days left until December 25th,...
Unsurprisingly, this is the earliest John Lewis has ever launched it's online store, and the store claims it's done so due to a “high level of customer searches” for festive products on the website.
If by any chance you're fed up with storms and pandemics, and feel like getting a little festive...in August...the online store offers things like: trees, fairy lights and decorations, you know all the Christmas essentials.
Jason Billings-Cray, partner and Christmas buyerat John Lewis, said the online searches prove that people are looking forward to Christmas a lot earlier this year.
"Christmas celebrations mostly take place in our homes and we have seen how the lockdown has made people think more about their homes, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that people are already thinking about how they will decorate their homes this Christmas," he said.
"From the hundreds of emails from customers asking to be alerted when specific decorations become available it looks as if animal baubles will be the most popular this year with peacocks, squirrels and toucans topping the list of most wanted."
