The first ever post on Twitter is up for sale, and offers have already reached over €2 million.
The message posted in 2006 by the site's co-founder Jack Dorsey reads "just setting up my twttr".
He is auctioning his first ever tweet on a website that sells tweets as non-fungible tokens.
The winning bidder gets a unique digital certificate, which confirms they officially own the tweet.
The highest bid for the tweet at $2.5 million came from Bridge Oracle CEO Sina Estavi.
There are some old offers on the post that show that it was put for sale in December 2020.
However, the auction started to pick up momentum after Dorsey posted a link to the online marketplace "Valuables @Cent" on Friday.
