Desperate times call for desperate measures??

One mother has caused quite the ruffle online with her latest admission.

Parenting is no walk in the park, and we know everyone has their own ways of coping.

But, one mum's coping mechanism is a tad bit controversial...

The mother took to Mumsnet to confess that she puts the middle finger up at her toddler when her back is turned.

Her argument is that her child " definitely doesn’t see", so what she doesn't know can't hurt her!?

Though she did admit that her family don't quite agree.

It's getting mixed reactions online.

Some people think it's "crossing the line".

While a few others said that it made the feel quite "uncomfortable".

Although some said that it was "quite funny", and that they understood how it could be a helpful stress-relief.

"Haha! This made me laugh as my sis-in-law was doing this to my very grotty toddler the other day!

I can’t see the harm in it as a release when you’re having a really frustrated moment."

Other parents were coming clean saying they do the same:

"Ha, I've been doing this for almost 17 years.
It's fine, she doesn't know and you feel better."

**

"I do it too...I'd much rather do that than shout / lose my temper with them - they never see, and I'd never do it in public."

Others said that she should be careful as they predict her daughter will "eventually catch you".

Have you ever gone to such extremes?
