More than a fifth of dog owners don't brush their dog's teeth.

According to a new study by SWNS Digital, 23 per cent of 2,000 owners said their four-legged pal hated getting their teeth cleaned.

Trying to bite the toothbrush, tensing up and running away were the main reactions dogs have when someone tried to take a toothbrush to their gnashers.

17% clean their dog’s teeth multiple times a week, with many owners bribing dogs with treats to get their co-operation.
