Sarah Cawte was doing a piece on snake safety for 9News so ended up with the reptile draped around her shoulders.
However it wasn't content to just lie there and started to bite her microphone.
Ever the professional, Sarah continued with the report as the snake repeatedly attacked the mic.

Thankfully Sarah came away from the encounter unscathed, physically at least, but we're sure she won't be rushing to do more reptile reports any time soon!
