Is this a thing?
Job interviews are a scary thing, but they have to be done to get hired, right?
Well, maybe not, as it seems there way be a bizarre way around it, though it hasn't really worked out in this particular case.
A woman has taken to askamanager.org after her husband got landed in a weird situation.
She explains how he and the hiring team picked a candidate for a job after several interviews.
Totally happy with their choice, there were delighted...
But then, it seemed a different person turned up for work than they had interviewed.
The job is remote, but people noticed that new hire, 'John' seemed to have completely changed his appearance.
And he also forgot many things discussed in the interview as well as actually not being able to do many things in the job description anymore.
Another thing to note was that during the interview, John was single, while the new John has a wife and three children.
Amused by her husband's debacle (who actually didn't care too much as was leaving the company soon), she took to the internet to ask what they thought.
She asked was this a new thing that people got other people to carry out interviews for them, to nab them the job.
She also gave updates on the situation, saying that it was a HR nightmare - but then in the end, John quit abruptly.
