Not exactly the way you want to meet the family...
First dates can go many different ways, and plenty of people have had their fair share of odd ones.
But we think this one might go down as one of the worst out there.
A woman shared the story of her Tinder date on Reddit.
And there's actually a lot more red flags than the ashes...
The woman starts by explaining that she had been chatting to a guy for a few days.
Which to be honest sounds a bit early to be inviting him over, but that's exactly what she did...
Before showing up, the guy texted her "I've driven by a couple times and chickened out. Are you sure you want me to come over?", which the woman admitted was a red flag.
He finally showed up, and you guessed it, he looked quite different to his photo.
But she still kept optimistic.
Once they sat down for food though, it all came crashing down.
She explained the following:
"He reaches into his pocked out pulls out... a vial? It is about 2 inches tall with a cork in it. It's filled with black powder.
He must have noticed me staring at it flipping between if he was about to snort something strange or build some sand-art.
He said, "Oh," all super casual. "I'd like to INTRODUCE YOU TO MY MOTHER."
Suffice to say she found some excuse to end the date early and not agree to a second.
She said she understood grief is difficult but bringing ashes to a first date was a step too far!
