What the Faux Hawk!?

Well, we've always been told that stress leads to greying and balding and now we have even more evidence to back it up!

A study carried out in Korea uncovered that long working hours do lead to male balding.

13,000 males were selected between the ages of 20 and 59 to see how working a 52 hour (or more) week affected their hairline.

It turns out that high levels of stress brought about by an excessively lengthy working schedule can lead to a change in hormone levels in certain areas of the body including the scalp. This change in hormone levels can stunt the growth of follicles on the scalp making you go from Luke Kelly to Vin Diesel if you continue clock up crazy working hours.

The main man in charge of the study, Kyung-Hun Son expressed his concern at the findings

'Limitation of working hours in order to prevent alopecia development may be more necessary from younger workers, such as those in the 20s and 30s, at which hair loss symptoms start to appear.'

If you want to hold onto that quiff for another while, maybe try knock a few hours of your work schedule or take a couple of days off.
