"The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells".
A Catholic school in the USA has reportedly banned all Harry Potter books from it's library after "consulting exorcists".
St Edward's Catholic School in Nashville, Tennessee made the decision last week fearing that the spells in the books may in fact be real.
Reverend Dan Reehill explained the decision in an email seen by local outlet The Tennessean, saying there was a real "risk" students could learn to conjure "evil spirits".
“These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception," Reehill wrote.
"The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text."
The school isn't the only one to have banned the books, all students in the United Arab Emirates are also banned from reading the series.
