"Well that wasn't a good start to the day"
A police officer in England has had a blunder that required the assistance of the local fire brigade.
The Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called after the police officer began trapped in his own handcuffs.
Sgt. Scott Renwick posted the incident on his Twitter saying:
"Well that wasn't a good start to the day. Thanks to @northantsfire for cutting me out of some broken cuffs. #NotFunny. I would have laughed too!!"
According to UPI.com,the handcuffs were broken when the officer became trapped.
Renwick is the region's Core Training Sergeant but it isn't clear if he was training at the time.
Thankfully the fire brigade were able to release the officer using pedal cutters.
