"We won't ever take money that comes from a bra or under garments."

A hair salon in Co Laois said it will turn away customers that come in wearing pyjamas.

The Blow Dry Parlour in Portlaoise took to Facebook on Monday to say "I find it shocking that we even have to post this" but "our salon is a place of business".

The post continued:

"Plus when we're on the subject we won't ever take money that comes from a bra or under garments...Penneys is just across the road so you could maybe pop over there and invest in grownup clothes (just a thought)."

The owner of The Blow Dry Parlour, David Finn, told Louise on The Hub that he wrote the post after he walked into the salon on St Patrick's Day to find three women waiting on the couch wearing pyjamas.

He said he thinks people wearing pyjamas in public is "unhygienic".
