If you're ever staying in a hotel one of the first things you might want to do from now on is check the state of the coffee maker before you make a cuppa.
This comes following one woman's disturbing discovery of stomach churning mould in her hotel room.
Sharing his findings on Reddit, the guest captioned the image with "And this is why you check the hotel coffeemaker before you use it...."
Gross... (Image: Reddit)Her post began a flurry of other hotel room horror stories, each as gross as the last.
''My friend found dirty diapers in the hotel ice container the other day," one person replied with.
There were more coffee machine woes, with someone else adding: "I learned that the hard way... drank 3 coffees and when I purchased the 4th, cockroaches started crawling out of the coffeemaker. Needless to say I never drank a coffee in a hotel again."
And just in case you're not put off enough, a hotel employee even chimed in with: "As someone who has worked housekeeping, don't bother even using the coffee machine."
