One of the problems that is associated with aging is when your hair begins to turn grey.

A new study has found that grey hair can regain its original colour.

The study which was carried out by bioRxiv claims that greying isn't permanent and that white hairs can regain their colour when stress levels are low.

Research was conducted on 14 people with hair that was grey at the root.

The scientists found that closer to the root the hair turned less grey, indicating that it was regaining is previous colour.

Proteins found in the strands of hair are known to become upregulated in response to stress.

According to iflscience.com, the effects can be reversed by engaging in regular exercise.

Although the samples proved that making lifestyle changes can reverse the greying of a hair it may not restore an entire head of hair.

The Author of the study said: “human aging is not a linear and irreversible biological process and may, at least in part, be halted or even reversed.”
