Being the grandson of one of the most significant musicians in modern history comes with its perks, but being immune to petty crime doesn't seem to be on the list.
Paul McCartney's revealed that one of his older grandchildren was mugged at knifepoint. The former Beatle told The Times newspaper that the robbers forced his grandson to hand over his phone during the incident which took place on the streets of London.
Luckily, Paul was able to offer some comfort to his grandson, who was devastated and humiliated following the incident. The 77-year-old says he had an almost identical experience, having been mugged in Liverpool when he was growing up by four youths who took his watch.
Paul McCartney, married to Nancy Shevell, has eight grandchildren.
