It has taken three months to confirm the gender of the gorilla.
A gender reveal party has taken place at Belfast Zoo for a baby gorilla that was born three months ago.
Animals were presented with a box filled with bananas and blue confetti this morning.
We are delighted to announce that our latest baby western lowland gorilla is a boy! ??
Silverback Gugas did the honours and opened up the box to reveal the blue coloured paper inside.

Zoo Curator Julie Mansell explains why it's taken so long to find out the sex:
"It's taken a while to know it's a boy because mum has held the baby so tightly, and where she kind of cups the baby, it's very hard to say actually what the sex is."
The zoo is asking people to vote on what to name the new arrival, via a Facebook poll.
