The world's top funeral songs for 2021 have been revealed and the results are fairly surprising.
Legal and General analysed over 300,000 songs from Spotify playlists with titles like ‘funeral songs’, ‘my funeral playlist’, ‘mums funeral’ and ‘dads funeral’.
Topping the list is Cigarette Daydreams by Cage the Elephant, followed by See You Again (feat. Charlie Puth) by Wiz Khalifa and Ricky Montgomery’s Mr Loverman came in third.
Traditional hymns are absent from the list, which could mean a decline in demand for such songs at funerals.
According to IrishPost, Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ remain highly popular choices, especially for dads.
It may comes as shock at the amount of upbeat songs that made the top 15, including Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass'.
Some humorous songs were also popular including, Highway to Hell by AC/DC.
