A new study has found that the average family has 260 'proper arguments' every year.
With 365 days in the year, that means if there is just one argument per day that there would only be 105 days of the year where family members living together would not have any fall-outs
The research shows that the main source of arguments in the home is family members leaving a mess behind them, from not washing dishes to stacks of dirty clothes.
Smart Energy GB who carried out the poll on 2,000 people found an increase in rows related to 'eco' issues, such as not turning off lights and wasting food.
11% of those surveyed claim they are unhappy with the length of time family members spend taking a bath or shower. Other argument starters include leaving the toilet seat up and not taking the bins out.
The DailyMail reports that Robert Cheesewright from Smart Energy, said today: "It's great to see so much passion and consideration when it comes to energy saving and sustainability amongst modern families.
"We are facing a climate crisis, but fortunately there are lots of small changes households can make to help, and getting a smart meter is one easy option.
"A smart meter is the first step towards taking control of our energy usage, reducing waste and upgrading our energy system to pave the way for a cleaner, greener future.
"If every household took the energy efficiency measures available right now, together we could achieve 11 per cent of the UK's 2050 net-zero carbon emissions target."
