This sounds like one of those 'made up' stories but believe it or not... it's true.
You can now fake a holiday for your social media following.
A new service allows you to send a picture of yourself and they photoshop it onto beautiful backdrops like a beach or a desert island or even a wild weekend in Vegas.

The company Fake A Vacation are based in America but provide the service for people all over the world.
And it seems like there's a demand out there!
A recent study of 4,000 Americans showed 14% of them lied to others about their holidays. One in ten of them even admitted to posting a fake holiday photo on social media.
Fake It Till You Make It
Customers of Fake A Vacation can choose packages that include places like Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Disneyland.
Some of the testimonials on their website include:
Justin: “All my friends were going on vacation and it looked like my life is pathetic.”
Shekhar: “Used Fake A Vacation to fake my pictures. Got 58 likes on the picture I shared on FB. Was able to spoof a lot of my friends and they believed it.”
They have custom packages and destinations that you can choose from but will also make customised Holiday Photos too - which will set you back a little more than the template choices.
