"His love and compassion are so over the top"
Woman taking off wedding ring.A woman in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a divorce from her husband because of his "extreme love".
She says he showers her with gifts and cleans the house without being asked. This kind of intense love has pushed her to a divorce, she told a Sharia court in Fujairah.
The Khaleej Times reports that the woman claimed her life was "hell" because her husband never yelled or argued with her and was always kind.
She's reportedly complained to the court that her other half's "love and compassion are so over the top" meaning she now wants a divorce.
She added that:
"I am choked by his extreme love and affection. He even assisted me in cleaning the house without me asking him."
The woman also states that the pair of them have never had an argument and her husband never shouted at her during their year-long marriage.
He even went on a strict diet and exercise regime when she complained about his weight.
She said:
"I am eagerly longing for a single day of dispute, but this seems impossible with my romantic husband who always forgave me and showered me with daily gifts.
"I need a real discussion, even an argument, not this hassle-free life full of obedience."
The husband pleaded for the court to deny the divorce request and the case was adjourned to give the couple a chance to settle the dispute themselves.
