How good do these look?
Air New Zealand is currently trialling edible coffee cups on board its flights in a bid to be more sustainable.
The cup is made up of biscuit, is vanilla flavoured and more importantly, it's completely leak-proof.
The airline says it currently serves over eight million coffees per year and even though their current cups are compostable, it's hoped these new innovations will avoid even more waste going to landfill.
CNN report that Air New Zealand collaborated with another New Zealand-based company Twiice, a family-run business that make edible plant-based cups. Customer experience manager Niki Chave told them in a statement that customers who have tested out the Twiice cups have given it a thumbs-up.
