"It's ridiculous when I turn around and there's a gentleman who has boobs that are as big"

A Minnesota police department are using a new technique to clamp down on people being nude or topless at the beach.

The Golden Valley Police Department has said they are using drones to catch beachgoers that are nude at the Twin Lake following complaints.

Police Sergeant Randy Mahlen told WCCO-TV:

"It had reached the point where it was time for people to be held accountable for their actions,"

"What it did was validate all of these complaints we've been getting from residents,"

"It would be no different than a surveillance camera in a public place for a high-crime area."

One beachgoer, Kristian Calbert  who was cited for topless sunbathing claims she was unaware that the beach was under supervision.

Calbert says that there was no signs posted to warn beachgoers against the rules against nudity.

According UPI.com, Calbert said:

"It's ridiculous when I turn around and there's a gentleman who has boobs that are as big as, or bigger than mine,"

"And he can keep his shirt off and we're doing the same thing, sitting in the sun. I'm like, you say it's a sexual organ but it's not. We're not sexualizing it."

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is currently considering a proposal to get rid of the the policy that bars women from being topless at the beaches that is part of the parks system.
